Cash considerations will not help the cap.

It's money that the organization receives and pockets. It does not increase our cap space or hurt it. It's simply more money for the organization.

They can use it on whatever they like, including buying picks.

I guess if we went into the lux tax we could use that cash to pay the debt that we owed.

Pay off MJ's gambling debts if he happens to be in Vegas with the team...

Or that lol

So it could, potentially, help the cap situation in the end?

Cap is the same as if we cut him. Extra cash in owners pockets is where the trade helps. MJ can use that towards anything he wants including using to help pay salaries of players, employees at the arena, arena updates, or whatever he chooses.

And think about it is saying that. He's implying if we go into luxury tax that Jordan may use the money from this trade to help pay off the tax.

I think we realize it dosent help nor affect the cap. Just straight cash homey

If we go into the tax, sure he can use it on that.

Or he can use it to help pay for Marvin William's new deal, or to upgrade the arena, or pay the staff, it's his money now lol.

Jordan has always maintained that he is willing to spend and has no problem paying the luxury tax if the team is good. Pay Lance now & worry about resigning others later. The cap is getting ready to jump up anyway.

We have acquired a bunch of cash through trades.

The most you can acquire is $3 mil per trade.

My guess is we got $2 mil from Miami for Napier, $1 mil for Powell, $1 mil for Christon, and $1 mil for Hopson.

That's an extra $5 mil for the organization.

Not too shabby lol.

That's pretty substantial. So basically we have made enough money through the trades that's we are only paying Marvin Williams 2 million. And those trades covered the rest. U hear that guys stop fretting over the 7 million dollar figure. We have basically gotten it paid for already lol

How did I pull it out of my ass? It's a well known fact that we have acquired a bunch of cash in trades. The normal rate is $1 mil per player/pick but I figured that Napier may have fetched $2 mil since Miami wanted him so bad.

Do you have a problem playing nice with others?

Pretty much lol. Those little trades add up.

Oh and of course we got a 2019 2nd round pick from Miami as well haha.

You have absolutely no idea what they're receiving and just posted random numbers.

I have a fairly good idea of what they are receiving.

The max they could have gotten out of those four deals is $3.2 mil per deal (that's the max amount of money you can receive in cash considerations) for a total of $12.8 mil. However, that large of a number is highly unlikely. The Nets bought three second round picks for $2 mil this past year and the average going rate for picks is $1 mil. The very least we received is $4 mil and I'm 99.9% sure of it.

Do I know the exact number, no. However, I do my best to help others out and let them know what we are getting instead of starting threads making fun on people.

No you don't. You have no clue.

Just like when you started PMSing over the Roberts signing saying it knocked the salary too low to sign Stephenson.

Whatever you say bud.

You're just another new guy that has come in tried to run the board by making personal threats and unnecessary remarks instead of actually listening to anyone else and understanding what they have to say.

I've seen guys like you... KT, BWood, etc... you won't last long.

By the way here are my sources...

Cash Considerations Limit: http://www.cbafaq.co...larycap.htm#Q96

Nets Acquire Picks for $2 Mil: http://m.nydailynews...1.1846164#bmb=1

Markel Brown who was the 44th pick was traded for $1 million, I'm guessing Powell who was the 45th pick was at the very least traded for $1 million. I guess Christon could have been traded for less but that still puts our cash at over $4 mil.

By the way, I never PMS'd over the Roberts signing, I thought it was a great signings and I simply asked if anyone thought we could acquire Stephenson for $10 mil (by the way it would still have to be close to that number, no more than $12 mil).
