Yea, I'm a diehard UNC fan yet I was a huge McRoberts fan and I believe Boozer would be a great addition for that price. Lol..

We could prob bid about 5 mil for him, and then use the full MLE if we still wanted Lance too.

I think so anyways.

You can't bid with the MLE as players acquired through waivers are signed immediately without negotiation at a base number.

Walker
Henderson
Williams
Boozer
Jefferson

MJ wants to make a splash, Clifford loves his veterans. I'm gonna be pissed off.

MKG, Hairston, Vonleh, & Zeller will all average 15 minutes per game or less.

I'm not 100 percent on this but I think since we started with cap space we can only use the 2.5 exception or whatever it is. Only teams that start with no cap space are allowed to use the full MLE. But like I said not exactly sure

I feel like we were linked in trade talks with Boozer either last year or the season before if I'm not mistaken.

Heat are said to have interest as well.

I really don't see the fit there. Bosh and McBob already there.

Woj knows his stuff...

If this is the case then Marvin Williams will be backing up MKG.

I'm also not opposed to Boozer for a deal in the 2yr/$14 mil range. He's not a bad player, he just wasn't worth that huge contract.

I don't see how anyone could complain about 14 ppg and 8 rpg for $7mil a year.

Marvin Williams is no small forward at this stage of his career.

I could complain about tying $14M a year into Marvin Williams and Boozer. Easily.

Well Boozer isn't really a stretch four. He operates just outside the paint and sometimes in the paint as where Bosh and McBob operate behind the three point line.

I think they could make it work, but I don't think the money is there.

He played some small forward with Utah last year and actually moves really well for someone that has torn their achilles. As a back-up, I don't see why he couldn't excel in that role.

I can see the concern of paying $7 mil a year for a backup though.

I don't know how it works but if we only have to pay him 2 mill then that would be a great deal. I know a bunch of these low Ignorant UNC fans don't want him because he went to Duke but for that price you would be retarded to say no.

The obsession you all have with what UNC fans think about Duke players is as ridiculous as your belief that UNC fans want every UNC player in the NBA on the Hornets.

Seek psychological help for your ABC'er delusions.

"Some." I never said he couldn't do it "briefly," but there's no way he's going to be penciled in as the "backup SF." That would be ridiculous.

Some as in enough where he could make a living as a back up small forward. I personally don't think we will sign Boozer but if we do then someone is getting moved.

Hypothetically, I guess we could move Zeller to center and roll with Boozer, Williams, Vonleh. Nonetheless, you would still be paying $7 mil for a backup.

Some, as in, sometimes, not most of his time.

Congrats on being the one to bring college into this discussion. There are usually a few in each thread that can't think past it, but there always has to be the first one to get it started.

Well done
