Great for him.  Football's not everything and it's not worth your life.  I enjoy the game as much as anyone else, but life is much more interesting, which football is a part of.  Seeing a guy who has a plan after football is one aspect I like about the game.

The difference was after that season he kept getting hurt.

He never played in all 16 games before 2009, and only once after 2009 (it was 2012)...

He never broke 800 yards in any year except 2009 when he had 1312 and 83 rec. (the highest hes had after that was 50 rec. and 748 yards in 2012)

so 2 full years as a starter and one was a great season, the other wasn't so great...

2009 was his only year and you have to give a great amount of credit to that to Brett Favre

LOL @ the morons in this thread attributing Rice's pro bowl season in 09 to Brett Favre.  You know what? Favre had 1 good year after leaving the Packers and it was when he had a healthy Rice to throw to.  Hell, watch the highlights, it's just Favre wildly flinging the ball in his general direction and Rice making unbelievable plays on it.

    • meant to say he didnt handle lawson the last time they matched up but did fine in 2016. robinson played against first round DEs against Auburn, Tenessee, [email protected], and arden key at LSU (likely a first eounder next year). thats not including the playoffs.
    • exactly, a point that most never talk about. but the nfc south has been one of the toughest division for a long time except for that one year but all you hear about is have we was lucky to win division with a losing record. well we was but still. lol
    • I'm not on the clock. The Texans traded their 2nd round pick to the Browns along with Brock Osweiler.  @ECUPantherFan is on the clock with 57th pick in the 2nd round
