I know we've discussed Shawn Marion, but Casspi was just waived today and so we could put a bid on him and may come out with another offensive-oriented SF on a cheaper deal.

Marion is still the better overall player, but it's an option.

I just don't see it. We have so many SG/SF players I' be surprised to see Casspi or any SF for that matter. I do expect another big though.

I think we are looking more toward the third center route to fill out the roster, but Casspi is one of those late first round guys that just can't find a home in the NBA. I wouldn't be surprised to see him off and on in the league but eventually you get to the point where you are what you are as a player (much like Gerald right now.) No for me.

Yeah, I'm thinking at this point, if we added another wing, Hendo or Taylor is likely to go...  And, I don't think Casspi is better than either of them.

Waived, meaning he's on the waiver wire, or amnestied (sp?) were you bid on him?

Remember Marshall was awarded on waiver.

Yeah he has to clear waivers before anyone could try to sign him as a free agent.

I don't think he's an upgrade over what we have.

It's not about upgrading. It's about looking for the 15th man on the roster.
