Decent article detailing monies for stadium upgrade. And I 'll say it again, old crafty JR already knows who the next owner will be and part of the deal is this team belongs to  the Carolinas and stays here!!!

Either way the Government found a way to get their hands on more of our money.

Starting this season the state of NC added a new 7.25% sales tax to tickets and handling fees.  This tax applies to all college and professional sporting events in NC as well as other various entertainment activities.

That would be sweet if MJ owned the Hornets and the Panthers.

I'd love it, but I'm not holding my breath. I still believe he brings back one of his sons for new ownership tho

I wonder what the chances are that we as a fanbase can convince Big Cat to sell the team to the fans. That would keep the team here indefinitely because good luck getting a fanbase to let a team move. similar set up to the Packers possibly?

i am not a financial expert so i have no idea how this would work, nor do i have any idea how we could convince JR to make sure this happens.

but if we could, we would never hear another article about the Panthers leaving the Carolinas. i mean seriously, has there been any articles since the Packers sold their stock to the fans that even mention the word "relocation"?

He faces that same decision on a regular basis.

Nil.  Pretty sure Green Bay is the only place where that situation will ever exist.

Richardson will ensure the team doesn't move, but not via that means.

I'm nowhere near as convinced of this as everyone else on here. I don't think he gives a damn where the team is after he passes, and it's debatable as to whether or not he even should.
