Andre Williams with a very good game earlier. I swear I need to be a NFL GM. People act like its freaking rocket science to see/know talent. It's right in front of your freaken eyes.

Yep Williams looked good out there. 7 carries 48 yards and a TD.

Watkins was targeted 3 times. EJ missed over shot Watkins on a go route by about 2 yards. And on the other 2 passes, EJ had his passes knocked down looking for Watkins on quick slants.

@RapSheet: Word on CB Jason Verrett is that his feet are unbelievable. He's not big, but he can really run. SD head-over-heels with their 1st rounder

Expected to make debut Sunday against SF

No link really but Kenny Ladler has been playing really solid for the Bills at FS this preseason.  Loved him at Vandy even though I have a Vandy & Hokie bias.

He's behind Searcy (who's great) and Meeks so he could be a final cut casualty I would love us to look at.

Must mean Barner made it. Sproles McCoy Barner, tough to crack that backfield.

Josey has good preseason numbers...

Game 1 no stats
Game 2 @NE 8 for 56
Game 3 vsPitt 4 for 48
Game 4 vs NYJ 22 for 121

So...? I assume it's because the backfield was already determined. No way this kid is jobless for long.

@PFF: #Jets rookie 1st round S Calvin Pryor was our highest graded S this preseason. Graded positively against run and in coverage.

Williams didn't fall in the draft due to his inability to run the ball between the tackles.  Everyone knew he could do that.  He fell because of his inability to do anything else.  20 years ago, Williams would've almost certainly been a 1st round pick, hell maybe even a top 10 pick, but NFL offenses are rapidly evolving and simply running the ball between the tackles is but a sliver of what an NFL RB is being asked to do today.  The RB position overall has been devalued, while at the same time, the required skillset is expanding.  A RB today has to be a jack of all trades.  He has to be able to run the ball, pass protect, run routes out of the backfield and catch passes.  Hell, a lot of RBs end up spending a decent amount of time split out as a WR.  Right now, Andre Williams can run the ball and that's about it.
