So, me and the Misses have been talking a lot about relocating as there is absolutely nothing going for us in the small town we are currently in.

We would like to move into the Charlotte Area (or somewhere 30 mins away) as I use to live there and miss it so.

Well here is where we need the Huddle's help... Do any of you own, work at, or have connection to a company in the area who is hiring or will be in the next 6 months or so?

I'm not going to be very picky about what I do. As most of you know, my talent and heart is in graphic design. So a job in this field would be preferred. But really the only must haves of the job would be: 1) Full Time, First Shift and 2) Pays well enough to support my family in the city.

If anyone can help a fellow Huddler it would be greatly appreciated.

Lol a little bit too far from our families for my wife's liking. But I'll keep it in mind.

Try a recruiter, man. They get paid to find you work and it costs you nothing to use them. And there are recruiters than specialize in design. You'll need a killer portfolio though.

I've used design recruiters before. They only found freelance jobs in the area. And even those paid less than what I was making doing freelance through websites.

But I might check into other recruiters in the area and see what they come up with

Have to find the right agency. Then again, I'm spoiled up here and them finding you fulltime work is easy. I'd suggest using one that finds you a job and the company you work for pays you. The recuiters who handle your pay are more of a quick fix sort of thing. Do you have a portfolio website?

I think Teeray is(was?) a realtor. If you're in the market.

Also, find which agencies/companies you want to work for. Fine them on LinkedIn. And connect with their in-house recruiters if they have any. Or connect with a creative director, etc. Go right to the source.
