I was very disapointed by this pick but not anymore.
Ealy is really promising.

Ealy has already done more in two preseason games than Everette "the Human Top" Brown ever did. Even when he's not involved in the play, he's around the ball and as a rookie that's a great sign.

He looks enormous on the field. Just another reason for QBs to fear us when he puts it all together.

Ealy had some inconsistency at Mizzou which led to his fall, but the kid was a 1st round talent. Not trying to negate anything from Michael Sam, but Ealy was a big reason why Sam put up the numbers he did last year at Mizzou. Teams were doubling Ealy.
For a lot of teams, Ealy would be a day 1 starter. He's no way near being a raw player. Only problem right now is getting used to the speed of the game.

There is absolutely zero reason to be discouraged for Ealy after 2 preseason games. This is a long term investment, and he is like the 4th or 5th option in the rotation right now. He will be a player no doubt.
Hes going to take over for CJ or Hardy next year. He better be a player.
