• The Carolina Panthers can expect a long run in the playoffs. In each of the last five years, a team that went unbeaten at home advanced to the Super Bowl. The Panthers finished their home schedule 8-0. Here are the home unbeatens since 2003:

Year Team Record Advancement
2007 New England 16-0 Super Bowl
2006 Indianapolis 12-4 Super Bowl
2006 San Diego 14-2 AFC semifinals
2005 Seattle 13-3 Super Bowl
2005 Denver 13-3 AFC title game
2004 New England 14-2 Super Bowl
2004 Pittsburgh 15-1 AFC title game
2003 New England 14-2 Super Bowl
2003 Kansas City 13-3 AFC semifinals
2003 St. Louis 12-4 NFC semifinals
2003 Seattle 10-6 Wild-card appearance

So if tampa loses one of its final two games then we definietely go to the super bowl ;)

Tampa Bay has the Chargers and the Raiders...we need to get the job done all by ourselves.

It'd be interesting to read how many of those teams had home Playoff games though. If we don't beat NY, we'll have to go on the road eventually if we keep winning. If we get home field throughout, you'll be able to add us to that list.
