AN eagle-eyed Google Earth user claims to have found photographic evidence of the Loch Ness monster.
British security guard Jason Cooke, 25, found the image while navigating around the Google's satellite images.
UK tabloid The Daily Mail reported that Mr Cooke said "the 65ft oblong shape followed by thin strands is actually the highly contested creature."
Mr Cooke told UK tabloid The Sun: "I couldn't believe it. It's just like the descriptions of Nessie."
Researcher Adrian Shine, of the Loch Ness Project, said: "This is really intriguing. It needs further study."
To see the object, enter co-ordinates Latitude 5712'52.13"N, Longitude 434'14.16"W in Google Earth.
Your Say
The one on the right is a giant squid, but it's about to get eaten by nessie surfacing on the upper left!
Enthusiasts believe the centuries of reported sighting of the Loch Ness monster are proof that some aquatic dinosaurs may have survived in the deep waters of the Scotland.
However many scientists are more sceptical.
The MailOnline also posts some images of boats on Loch Ness, suggesting a much less prehistoric explanation for the mysterious image.
