Here's a new twist on Playoff scenarios...

Here's what we know:

1. Beat NY and a trip to the Superbowl runs through Charlotte.
2. Win just once (if we lose to NY for example) and we are division champs.
3. We can still get in with two losses if Atlanta, Dallas, or Tampa lose a game.
4. We are out if we lose out, and Tampa, Dallas, and Atlanta win out.

BUT...

- Tampa's real chance to lose is THIS week versus San Diego at home. They have Oakland the following week. San Diego is still in the Playoff hunt and will come to play!

- Atlanta's real chance to lose is THIS week at Minnesota. They have St. Louis the following week. Minnesota is fighting for the division and will come to play.

- Dallas has Baltimore THIS week at home and then Philly on the road...but here's the catch...Philly CAN'T get into the Playoffs unless Atlanta or Tampa lose a game! So...Dallas may not even have to worry about Philly as the Eagles' season could be "over" by then (Atlanta and Tampa will not lose their easy games in Week 17).

Sure, we still may have to goto New Orleans to get into the Playoffs, and sure...Philly could still knock Dallas out so that we can sneak in if we lose to the Saints. But guys, the meat of the scenarios all go down this week! Buckle your seat belts and let's kick some Giants ass!

Win on Sunday and it doesn't matter what other teams do or whether we win in New Orleans. We get respect for once and have 2 home games where we are undefeated.

Biggest regular season game since the win against Pittsburgh in 96. We have to win one huge one on the road to get 2 at home. We need this one bad!!!!

The worst of it is, once this week is over, if everything goes wrong, it could be down to only this...us versus the Saints...Dallas versus Philly. Nerve wracking. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

I think Fox is itching to do it to the Giants again in their house.

very scary time and fruitful time at once. How can a team go from not making the playoffs with just 2 losses or being first seed with just one?

Is still possible for Atlanta and Tampa to make it? Honestly I rather see them then the Cowboys or the Eagles. If Atlanta wins out and TB wins out and We win 1 and Dallas and the eagles go 1-1.

Duh. That isn't going to help the Panthers win though.
