Bobcats interested in Rashad McCants

35 posts in this topic

per Rotoworld:

The Bobcats, Nuggets and Heat have all expressed interest in signing free agent guard Rashad McCants.

McCants already worked out for Denver, he'll be in Charlotte next week, and Miami has invited him to training camp. He will likely provide a burst of scoring off the bench for some NBA team this season, but his fantasy value is limited.

Trade to get May back, trade for Marvin Williams, get Jawad Williams out of the D League and sign McCants and we might be on to something.

Yay??

I love the guy and I think he is a good player, but he is kinda of a punk.

I think it will help sell tickets this time. I'm pretty sure Htar is in for some season tickets.

I hope the Bobcats fail miserably if they go after McCants

He has good size and can really score. However, where is he going to get minutes?

Imagine that.....Jordan bringing in another over-rated Carolina player. You would have thought he learned his lesson by now.

    • If McCaffery is the plan, then they need to create some space for him to operate.  Cam Robinson is still there.  Getty may move up to take him.
    • Players from a position going early or not =/= depth or lack thereof at said position If there's no depth at a position, but a very good player on the board, that player is going to go early, and teams are going to clamor over one another to try and get him. Look what happened with the QBs. There were honestly no game changing QBs, but the 3 top rated QBs all went via pretty crazy trades, because after them the drop is pretty big.

Nobody is taking RBs as often because they'll be there in the 2nd, 3rd, etc.
