That was pretty bad...is that the only incident he has had though?

We all are fully aware of how the heat of the game can play into the moment of frustration. (i.e. Steve Smith)

He is a bit of a headache to the FO also. Remember this past summer when he ran to media bitching and complaining that his team was losing too many good players and not replacing them?

Yeah, obviously he was right about that.

Haynesworth has the same attitude problems as Jenkins and a bigger mouth. He would come with a hefty pricetag, too. No thanks.

The Panthers tend to build through the draft. There are only a small handful of players starting right now that were acquired through FA or trade. On defense the numbers are much higher.

Defense:
Ken Lucas
Chris Harris (trade)
Na'il Diggs
Damoine Lewis
Ma'ake Kemoateu
Tyler Brayton

Offense:
Keydrick Vincent
Jake Delhomme

Haynesworth is a highly unlikely FA acquisition, especially with the FO likely doing everything to keep Peppers around. With the selection of Jeff Otah last year...Jordan Gross is far more likely to leave via FA and make big big bucks somewhere like San Francisco.

would you explain to me how he is a headcase? besides his one incident.

being an ass. talking down to the FO. complaining/whining. high maitenence. sorry, this guy that you are getting ready to pay way too much for has a big mouth and is only performing to get a big payday. franchising him was only a guarantee that he would get an even bigger payday. look at how larry johnson dropped off when he got his big money. you will see the same thing from fat albert.

you can have him.

Peppers will be the highest paid DE in the NFL history this off season.... I doubt we can also afford the highest paid DT in the history of the NFL as well.... That and I would rather the panthers invest that money in Gross.

I thought about starting a thread about that very fact. Think about the great young players that we have on our roster that were obtained through the draft. Beason, Williams, Otah, Godfrey, (maybe) Johnson, Kalil, Stewart, Marshall and Davis. Not to mention the vets Peppers, Gross, Smitty, Hoover, Wharton, Gamble and Moose. I think that our front office does a pretty good job identifying talent.

I know noone wants Peppers to leave but there is chance that Pep might not want to stay in Carolina.

He's not saying Peppers isn't leaving just cause he wants Peppers to stay. He's saying it cause not only does Peppers want to stay, but Richardson and Hurney are going to make it happen.

If we had Haynesworth along with Peppers and the rest of our D I thnk we would win the next 3 Super Bowls.
