fugly...and that joystick idea reminds me of my lawn mower...and thats kind of fun but not real stable!!!

I think the joystick is in the middle because it allows either driver or passenger side to drive it. Just an observation, I could be completely wrong.

This is not a new production model Mercedes Benz. It was what was described as a "concept study" and was displayed at the Paris Motor Show in 1996 during the reign of DaimlerChrysler.
Someone took the pictures of the concept car, designated it as an "SCL600" and circulated the false eRumor.
