It's annoyed me for several years, only now it has bubbled up onto teh interwebs where all good discourse belongs. I'm convinced this has happened in the last 10 years.
Wouldyou rather it be called Jasetown?
I already own that city so this would be suitable.

well, when ppl started calling North Davidson, NODA it irritated the crap outta me...then, I got over it and got used to it

And it's been Chucktown since the mid 90s at least. And my SOB mom says Chaaaalston.
