So, I've been reading about the benefits of feeding your dog a raw diet, and I was curious as to whether anyone here does so...

My sister does that with her dogs and they throw it up half the time. Have fun.

One of my dogs has bad allergies and I think they're due to the kibble, so I'm exploring

Got a buddy whose dog has allergies (or something of that nature) and he feeds it raw chicken. She's stout and healthy from what I've seen of her, and she has had a litter of pups.

P.S. I've seen her eat a few times, but never seen her throw up.

We did it for both of our dogs. The BARF diet. Bones and Raw Food.

Their poo is damn near odorless, their teeth are white, their breath doesn't stink, and their coats are shiny.

It is more intensive and a bit more expensive, but I highly recommend it.

I think medium to high end dog food is far superior these days to what it was not so long ago and probably gives the dog a better balance. I have a 7 year old German Shepherd and have a puppy coming in 18 days...they'll eat the bagged stuff.

Diamond, Nurture, and Lassie with a bit of broth in it. Her coat is shinny, soft, and her poo smells like roses. The poo they put in purina, iams, ekunoba, etc. is illegal for humans to consume, I wouldn't give it to my dog either.

For thousands of years dogs lived off table scraps. Now we have a billion dollar industry that says you must put only the unique mixtures that they cook up in your pup's bowl if you want to have a healthy animal.

See if you can spot the liar here.

one of my dogs eats the other dog's poo. I credit her shiny coat to the poo 'eatin.

I caught one of mine eating poo this morning. I thought it was hers, but obviously it was one of the cats. So now I have multiple species pooping on the floor. Mine is hard enough to pick up. I have to nip it in the bud with my pets.
