What beer are you drinking?

This evening it will be something cheap, as I have just gotten back from New York, and am freaking broke.

I used to be into trying all the different beers, but these days I'd rather stick with something I know I like, won't make me feel like crap, and so on. So it's Yuengling.

Fiancee gets me Molson XXX, that stuff is quite a bit stronger but once I felt not so good the next day after a tailgate where I had like 5 of them.

The past few days I've been on a steady diet of Sam Adams Octoberfest. I can not get enough of it.

For those in Myrtle Beach, if the Mad Boar is still in business up at Barefoot, try the Scottish Ale. Frickin' stuff is like an angel pissing down your throat.

Friend of mine owned that place, but I think they shut it down a couple of years ago.

Enjoying Michelob's Shock Top at the moment. Really going out of my way to find good microbrews here in the triad and so far my favorite place is Liberty Steakhouse in High Point. The Oak Aged Porter they have now is probably one of the best beers I've ever tasted. Of course, Sam Adam's just put out their yearly Winter flavors variety pack and while I hate their standard lager, I love the variety flavors.

Also, I just finished my first batch of homebrew and am looking forward to testing out my second batch tomorrow night. So far, I am a terrible brewmaster.

Sam Adams Cherry wheat is good, especially w/a meal like clam chowda!
