for the life of me i cant understand why people love this place.
I live about 3 blocks away. Been there a few times, had pizza, pasta. Never very good. Ordered a sammich to go tonight, just for something different. Literally no better than something i could get at the airport. In fact, very much like an airport sammich.

HP is good for sitting outside drinking a beer on a nice night like tonight...but the food is suckage.

Hawthornes is a crap shoot, great pizza but their $5.99 Calzone is about the size of a hot pocket. Everything is overpriced too.

I was thinking it was us...yeah its overpriced too. Sandwich was $8 and small. Would rather have had a Substation II

I love Hawthornes Pizza, I live close to the one in Mint Hill. It has excellent pizza and a good atmosphere if you eat in.

Their white pizza is pretty good. Also, the meatball and the chicken parm subs are great. I'd also like to know where you get a large pizza for $10 and not fast food pizza. Papa johns, pizza hut, domino's etc....
