The World Cup is still a strong possibility and now with Brazil having the Olympics this might make it tougher for them for 2014.

Charlotte is still on the list of possible host cities if the U.S. gets the World Cup. I'm not a soccer fan, but it would be amazing to have it here.

Ive become more of a soccer fan since the last WC. I was in a job transition during the last WC, so was at home every day with little to do. I watched every single game, but one.

It's about to get bumpy again. I haven't had time to digest anything lately.
Dollar is wacky.
The US has tons and tons of gold but can NOT sell it due to the perception of fear or instability.

You don't actually think Brazil is going to give the World Cup up do you? I'm sure they care way more about the World Cup then they do about the Olympics. America is going for 2018.

Its already set they aren't going to take it away from them unless some kind of disaster happens or Brazil becomes a war zone. When is the last time they set a WC and took it away? It almost happened with South Africa but they pulled it together.

I think Brazil is way behind on some stadiums last I heard. Maybe they updated to FIFA's standards and now we can only hope for 2018
