Muhsin Muhammad: Mike Shula doesn't know how to use a fullback

That's been said a time or two as well.

Someone on here - I forget who - said the offense isn't really "evolved". They've just plugged Christian McCaffrey into the plays they used to run with Fozzy Whittaker. Haven't seen enough to substantiate if that's true, but it made me think.

Considered starting a thread but don't want to without first validating who said it (to give credit where it's due).

It was in reference to the possibility of bringing up Alex Armah.

Moose believes a strong - and properly used - fullback is essential to an effective power run game. He questions whether Shula can implement it.

Yeah, but if they don't bring him up, it's because he's not ready. It has nothing to do with whether Shula knows how to use him or not. Shula has never even had a true FB since he's been here, so there is no way to even make such a judgement, in the first place.

Shula will only go when ron goes.. and with hurney back as GM we all know he will give ron a even bigger pass than gettleman would.

People are just using Moose's statement to pile on. This team hasn't even had a true blocking FB since Brad Hoover was here so there is no way anybody can know how Shula would use one.
