If Cowboy fans were actually that discriminating with their standards, they wouldn't be Cowboy fans in the first place.

Never connected the owner to the team. The team will always be the team but the owner will change and do dumbass poo. I’d even understand more changing teams if the location changed.

JJ to JR isn’t exactly the best upgrade if the owner what’s really important to you in picking a team to root for...which I find strange as a consumer.

The cowboys are like going to a friends party. And they play the same song every time over and over since 1977. Sicking and boring, that's the dallas cowboys. Pathetic

Trailer parks are dying all across the country. Cowboys fans will be forced to surrender their white trash paraphernalia.

There is a guy at work who was a Cowboys fan and used to talk trash all the time.  Today, I saw him wearing a Cam Newton jersey.  Shocked, I asked him if he's finally seen the light and he responded affirmatively that he will support the Panthers now.  But the interesting part is that the genesis of his conversion was Jerry Jones comments where he threatened his players if they protested during the anthem.

A little background to this: Well before the Panthers, North Carolina was considered Washington Redskins territory. However, the owner of the Redskins, George Marshall, was virulently racist, to the point he refused to integrate his team. He only did so in 1962 when the Interior Secretary forced him to bring on a black player as the new stadium (RFK) was on Federal Land. If Marshall had not, he would not be able to use the stadium.

As such the Redskins became associated with the wrong side of the Civil Rights movement and over the years many African Americans started cheering for their archrival, The Cowboys. It then became tradition for a lot of African American families in the Carolinas and Virginia.

Of course this isn't the sole reason there are Dallas fans in the Carolinas. 5 Super Bowls brings on a lot of fairweather fans that stick around (see the Steelers), especially as there wasn't a local team till 1995. Also obviously there are black Washington fans as well. Still George Marshall's racism was a big influence.

Funny that another means of protest years later could cause folks to change teams.

Lol, I guess I'm the only one that appreciates this guys story of his co-worker jumping out of Jerry Jones pan and into Mr. Richardson's equally hot pan.

The owners are all relatively old white billionaire businessmen, so it is unlikely that any of them are happy about the player protests.  Most just have the good sense to keep their mouths shut and let the commissioner deal with it, unlike JJ and that fool in Houston.
