Walter Football 2018 Mock Draft (Panthers)

I think what you, Walter Football, and I guess everyone else is forgetting is that the new owner will care more about the Panthers than the shield...and sign Greg Hardy.

The only way Greg Hardy is ever setting foot in BOA again is if they host an MMA match here.

This is one of the worst and most unrealistic mocks I’ve ever seen for the panthers.

I did a Fanspeak draft that I like a lot better... best WR in the draft, a great DE, bolstering the OL, and getting Cam a new backup that doesn't make us change our gameplan when Cam goes out.

R1P24: Courtland Sutton - WR - SMU

R2P24: Mason Cole - C - Michigan

R3P21: Tony Brown - CB - Alabama

R3P24: Duke Ejiofor - DE - Wake Forest

R5P24: Casey Tucker - OT - Stanford

R6P24: Quinton Flowers - QB  - USF

R7P17: Jaylen Samuels - RB/TE - NC State

R7P24: Ike Boettger - OT - Iowa

This one is almost as terrible as the WF mock. Good grief

I’ll be honest, all the calls for OT in the first are not where we should go. I’m sorry but our offense has so many other bigger holes like WR and the D also has much bigger holes (DE without Pepp and S).

With problems at LT and possible Kalil at center, we will need some help to keep Cam upright.  We also need help at WR and a possible RB to replace an aging Stewart.  I agree that a DE could be drafted, but i am hopeful Peppers can go another year and Hall who was drafted last year can step up.

The problem with going tackle in the first is it's getting harder and harder to find tackles that are worth a first round pick.

Wasnt a fan of his either.

Cole hasnt looked that great at the switch over to center this year, and his stock has fallen some

Sutton is the most over rated offensive prospect in this draft. He has size but his speed is very very overrated.  He also plays in a offense that is very limitedas far as routes it requires its WRs to run, so there is going to be a learning curve there.

I did a 6 round fanspeak as well

I think Ronnie Harrison , Christian Kirk, or Sam Hubbard are the best prospects for us in round 1 for where we will be drafting.

Round 2 I'm looking at Anthony Miller, Nick Chubb, and a variety of solid RBs with some power and weight to replace stewart in the long term

Round 3 my favorite prospect is Fumagalli or again one of those power backs

I think it's time we start seriously looking at making O-line a priority. It doesn't matter how many weapons Cam has if he doesn't have time to get to his first read before he's on the run. It took a few years to build, but Dallas made their's a priority and look at the QB and RB play they got. It didn't matter who was plugged in at RB, the results were the same. If a WR drops that was ranked top 10 for whatever reason, kind of like Lattimore last year, then I have no problem going WR. I hate Cowturd, but I agree with him when he said, get your QB, protect him, then get him weapons. It's time to protect Cam, and get him a new QB coach.

We need a legit WR1, but if there's a tackle or center that's worth the pick, I think we have to make it.

They’ve got what we need down.

DE, WR, CB/S in that order.

Given Trai, Norwell and Kalil are back still need oline. And RB would be after that.

Haven’t paid too much attention to the class I’m hoping for at least a DE and WR, we can work with the rest.

Given everyone is back strong on the Oline we really just need a LT, while the most important position...it could be worse. A great Oline is hard to come by but I would not be mad in the slightest if the first pick was an LT even reaching a little.
