With 20 million in cap space, another year of salary cap rise & cutting  of old Vets I believe there is enough CAP room now & in the future to extend both of these guys. The long term solution works with older core veteran retiring after this season and influx of rookie contacts

Salary cap rise should add 5-10 million

Cuts/Not Extend :

Gano

CJ

J-Stew

Adams

Jones

Shepard

Dickson

etc

Core Vets: Retiring after 2018

Kalil, Davis, Peppers,

Biggest Contracts on books are: Cam, Luke & Olsen.

Panthers have made Star a decent offer, but he is waiting to see what someone else offers. Chances are he takes the money to play elsewhere. This is his first since he was a rookie and he needs to cash in.

Norwell is gone. Panthers will likely try their hand with Moton at LG.

What you’re telling us is sanjay is completely off base with his asssessment?

Folks are going to over pay Norwell.  Star will cash in.  Both would be foolish not to get the money.  This is their first real shot to set themselves up for life, especially Norwell being a RFA.

It's up to the Panthers to ensure they can replace these guys while they carry our other big time contracts.

Hmm..KK did the same both sides will "Huddle" again and come to decent "term"

Norwell is not gone as well, he will get a contract to pair with Turner remeber the Gross-Kalil combo we just will get a new version of it.

The other  "old Vets" will be cut regardless and that cap space will be spent on keeping players  worth dollars instead of aquiring 4 qtrs like Shepard & Adams.

P.S. Moton should be looked as the future Center his IQ, size & athleticism allows him to take on DT & NT on 1:1 majority of times allowing Norwell & Start to pull or take on down hill blocks.

Reason Saints, Pittsburgh, ATL can run so efficiently with 2 HBs.

The “Gross Kalil” combo is completely different, genius.

A LT is far more important than a LG.

Norwell is gone due to signing a max contract elsewhere.

Star is gone because he doesn’t even want to be a Panther.

Go research two TE sets and Fred Ross...leave the free agency talk to the big boys

ugh...I tried to watch that Norwell highlight video and was really into it...but after about 4 plays, I found myself just watching M. Kalil get destroyed on almost every play and it became really depressing.

I feel it’s been this way with Star for awhile now. And I’m good with giving Moton a chance even though Norwell is a beast and both will be missed. Can’t pay everyone...

Turner regressed big time last year (after getting paid ) kinda wish we had spent that money on Norwell instead.

@Ace_Aladdin Dickson is a free agent. Gano is a free agent. Zero money saved; in fact, that is money you have to account for because we need to either re-sign them or replace them.

I desperately want an improvement at both safety spots but idk if cutting Adams makes much sense unless we can get an automatic starter in the draft. Still, in that case, Idk if you can cut Adams until you know that the rookie is capable of starting.

And especially considering that bum Kurt Coleman is manning the other safety position.

Adams outplayed him all season.
