Gettis was a sure fire HOFer if not for injuries.

Feel the Hurn!!!!

Yes. Someone needed to state this. So Ace and Scat, stfu about Hurney drafting a WR. We need immediate impact. The last successful WR draft was when we got Moose. I say that b/c Benjamin isn't on the team and Funchess hasn't shown enough yet. Smith wasn't a first rounder. Maybe this had a lot to do with Ricky Proehl, but we need an established and experienced receiver to make plays. Stop being butthurt about losing hog mollies when we have someone to plug in there.

Hell, take it on back to 2002.

Walter Young (rd 7, 2003)

Drew Carter (rd 5, 2004)

Keary Colbert (rd 2, 2004)

That’s why he is going to draft a TE, RB, FS, & DE

That's one player.

second round is a guy who plays corner, olb, left guard, and nose tackle.

He wasn’t GM when we drafted Smitty. Not counting Moose coming back, Hurney did not add 1 single legit WR in his entire time as GM here...

All the people cheering for DG gone and also wanting to get Cam weapons are getting exactly what they wished for. Hurney wasting resources on sh*tty receivers.

LaFell is by far the best WR that Hurney ever drafted and quite honestly he was the only NFL caliber WR that Hurney ever drafted and he was almost universally hated by Panthers fans. That says everything about Hurney and drafting WRs.

Hurney 2.0 will hopefully do better.  The WR acquisitions will be a litmus test to determine a lot of things.

You know what's better than taking a chance on drafting a WR? Signing a proven WR and opening the fuging checkbook.

You didn't realize that Marty Hurney singlehandedly scouted Steve Smith, recommended him to personnel chief Jack Bushofsky and fought for him when no one else wanted to draft him? :fear:

Neither did I but to hear a couple of our resident defenders tell it, that's how it happened.
