Carolina couldn't run through the ACC last year so why would they do it this year?

The ACC is going to be down this year...And didn't say they would run through, but they can win it.

HAHAHAHA, Unicar! Name 5 teams in the country with more talent than the Heels...Then name two coaches better than Roy. Roy will probably make it to the sweet 16 and maybe F4 depending on match-ups and chemistry of this team. This team is loaded with talent, though young.

I love these fan bases that KNOW their guys are going to be a year better, but LDII won't improve a lick...Love that. I suspect LDII is going to run that team right through the ACC this year.

Actually you did say that read your last line. You are the one who wrote that right? How are you going to spin this?

Yes I did...I'll stand by my first comment then...He will run them through.

In all seriousness, the league is down, and the Heels could very well win it...And when I was typing about LDII, I meant that he would be running that team, and running (cause they do that a lot) right through this league.

So now UNC is the only team in the country that runs a fast-break? Carolina is going to be a one and out team this year as a 7 seed...You heard it here first.

No Hansblow
No Lawson
No Ellington

Ed Davis is their only impact player and Roy doesn't have his lightening quick guard to push the tempo. It is going to be George Mason all over again.

One of the dumbest statements I've read on this board yet.

Out of all the dumb post by Htar on this thread that is the dumbest statement? Come on take off the Carolina glasses and see that your boy Htar hasn't got a clue.

What? Because I know for fact the Heels are loaded so therefore I have no clue? Hey, don't hate on me because I don't like duke. I concede the Heels are young and will have to mature throughout the season. But at the end of the day, outside of Kansas and maybe MSU, there are no dominant teams this year. There are some very good teams, though. I'll be convinced duke is good when they do something relevant.

You people act as if everybody else in the country gets better from year to year, but LDII just stinks and that's that. You act as if the Heels have nothing on the roster. Thompson, Davis, Zeller and Henson will be as dominant up front as anyone in the country. Strickland is a healthy freshman who is a freaky athlete as is McDonald. Ginyard is a fifth year senior that will guide the young guys and be an extension of Williams on the court. I suspect William Graves will be a specialist off the bench this year. The Heels are going to win and win a lot. This team will enter the post-season with no pressure and guys who have been to the top.

I think that Henson will blow up. He is a nightmare matchup for anyone. Davis will be a rock down low. UNC's biggest problem will be the 3 ball. If Roy can find 2 players that can knock it down, then the skys the limit this year. The team will have far less pressure this year than last. It'll be a fun year to watch. Duke will be better, so maybe their battles with UNC will be close again.

So what would be doing something relevant? Maybe winning the ACC that would seem relevant. You know and I know Duke and Carolina will be good this year, but we have more experience and our front court will be pretty good this year. We also have a ton of shooters with Scheyer, Singler, Dawkins, Kelly, and Smith. My feeling is UNC will struggle at least early in the year because Roys offense requires a dominant PG and I don't think LD2 is a dominant PG. Now he could eventually be a good PG but judging by all of his TO's in the scrimmage against Vandy he seems like the same old LD2. Carolina will have a good year by most schools standards but not their standards.
