Possible Huge Addition

Recommended Posts

Considering this time of year... Richie Incognito was released by the Bills today and supposedly isn't retiring now. Yes had the scandal (and would be quite ironic that we had Martin here too) but that is in the past now and he is one of the best guards in the league even still and could easily fill our hole at LG for this year. Stopgap yes but could be a huge one for us. With JR I wouldn't have bothered making this thread but with Tepper essentially the owner pretty soon I wouldn't rule this out... Thoughts?

Would be great, but this place still won't sign someone like that, nor could we afford him unless he took a minimum contract

I wondered how long it would take for this topic to come up. He’s certainly still playing at a high level.

i don’t think he’s a great fit as a character tbh, and some of his posts on Twitter were a bit irrational sounding.

I would also worry that if he retires you can add him to a list of 4 or so other starting positions that will need filling at the end of the coming season.

My personal preference is that they let someone else try to win the spot so that next year we aren’t disjointed.

Great idea!

Now all we have to do is convince him to take a 1 year deal for $1,021,549

Don't think he'd be a good fit in the locker room.

He's been working to restore his image but in all reality do you off the field and preform on Sundays. He's closer to the answer then what we have while we groom a udfa. We needed a top level player next to Kalil if he's going get the start which we all would think so knowing Ron. We are in a win now mode with a few key pieces leaving after this season bring in the key addition.

Seriously? Have you read his twitter feed? Did you hear about that racial slur he supposedly made to the Jacksonville player this season? He doesn’t give a single damn about his image. He has however been a consistent solid guard.

Did y’all play HS football? Incognito is just a typical dumb jock meathead. You’re kidding yourself if you don’t think every team in the NFL has several similar types in their locker room already.

It's 2018 and this dickbag reportedly was using racial slurs last season.

That's on top of all of the other crap he has had issues with in his career.

NO.

If Hardy doesn’t get a call, who obviously is a great fit in the locker room after getting a franchise tag designation after 4 years and with great history and support from the GM, HC, DC, and team captain, then neither should this cat.

I dont think we sign him due to a variety of issues including locker room, money, possible lingering serious healthy issues, age, and wavering commitment to continuing to play. But there are far worse people currently employed in the NFL.
