Black bears roaming in and around Charlotte

Recommended Posts

Multiple black bears have been spotted in Ballantyne, Lake Wylie, Huntersville and other areas this week alone.

Also, there are reports of rattlesnakes becoming more common in Charlotte area.

Wild life is moving in...

They are sick of all us illegal immigrants taking their forests.

When we tear down all of their existing habitat, they become more noticeable. A black bear in the woods is the sign of a healthy ecosystem. A black bear roaming through a neighborhood is a sign of suburban sprawl.

So is there a bear poo in the woods?  What if there is no wood?  Where the bear is to poo?

My daughter and her neighbors saw a bear a couple of days ago. Off Brookshire Freeway about a mile beyond 485.

Saw this on the news. Black bear swam across Lake Wylie Saturday, all the way from NC side to SC side.

Aw, give him a break! He was just trying to get to a place where his taxes would be lower.

Do the bears wash their paws after taking a poop? Apparently no one else in Charlotte does.
