about 15 years ago Time had a front page that said many coastal towns and cities would be under water in 5 years due to rising water.

Maybe they were speaking figuratively? As in, financially or somethin'.

Actually the article had this little map that showed miles and miles of the coast of Florida and many other parts of the coast under water because of rising ocean levels. Said in 5 years it would all be under water. most of the time it's organizations needing a headline like that to try and raise money to pay their overpaid director and his cronies. Raise $100,000 and pay out $10,000 of it to 'fight global warming'.

I'll take nostradamus's predictions anyday over these quacks.
