And so did my wife, luckly since then we both have new jobs.

I am starting to not like my current sales job. I have been browsing the internet for jobs, and WOW, there is not much out there right now. I thought October 2008 was bad, but there is not poo out there now.

Kinda makes me want to bust my ass, being that the economy sucks so bad!

Yeah times are tough right now jobs are few and far between. Been laidoff for over a month and so far only two phone interviews.

I've been out for 5 months, it's tough out there.

I graduated with a 4 year degree in computer science. I applied for at least 20 jobs and only got called for one interview with the Social Security Commission. They wanted to hire me but did not have funding for the position that they needed filled. After five months of being unemployed with no other offers, I took a job with the state getting paid way less than I ever thought I would with a four year degree.

I had a job for 2.5 months and lost it last month. Wasn't there long enough to qualify for unemployment. Can't find much of anything out there.

The job-seeking marketplace is saturated with some pretty quality people seeking employment. It's ridiculous out there right now.

I heard it was pretty slim out there. My company has laid off over 40 good workers just this year alone. Before therecession, they would have been able to take a job with the competition.

On a positive note, I was visiting one of my customers down in the Houston area. They manufacture gantry robots and LGVs. All the jobs they have been quoting for the last year are starting to come to fruition and they are actually looking to hire. We've seen the numbers in the lift truck market stabilize and start to trend upward. Nothing drastic, but getting better. On the flip side, I visited a bunch of customers over the last two weeks that are still sucking wind.

Good luck to all of you. I'm in sales and feel fortunate to still have a job. It's like walking on thin ice these days though.

Whatcha got? Hubby's looking for a job since landscaping's slowed for the season. We're in Savannah, about 1 hour from Charleston.

It's a wastewater operator position. We are just waiting for this dumbass to fail the certification test again and then they are shown the door. If he's interested I'll let you know.
