Can you believe people had the gall to compare this to "Lord Favre"? LeBron was a free agent for what? 7 days? He didnt even take a "tour". He gave every dime of his announcement special to charity. He's taking less money and is willing to defer to Wade all in a quest for a title. And dudes still HATE.

He really shouldn't have done the TV special lol, I don't care about the charity BS, he was just stroking his ego more and taking a dump on Cleveland.

To all the Kobe fans (not just those who are on this board): With all this talk about how Kobe is "licking his chops" waiting to beat the Heat, I sure hope you remember those words if the Heat meet in the Finals and Miami wins. I don't want to hear any of this, "Of course LeBron can win with a stacked team... blah, blah, blah" crap. If you're talking up Kobe's game now, stick to your guns.

Btw, this post is not proclaiming that the Heat would win in said series. I just hate floppers.

Definitely important, and it says you are the best player on the best team. But I dont feel it automatically means you are the BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE. Was Chauncey Billups the best player in the league in 04? What about Pierce 2 years ago? Or Tony Parker 3 years ago? This stupid logic only applies for Kobe stans.

I suppose it really comes down to whether you play for Championships or regular season MVPs. Lebron can contiinue to under achieve and sell stuff. The Lakers can continue to win Championships.

I for one am going to enjoy watching the pieced together Heat try to get by the Celtics come playoff time. Should be good stuff.

lol this doesn't fuging make sense

2 players who are the centerpieces of their own teams' offenses on the same squad? somebody's taking a back seat

lebron just about admitted he can't win a title unless he's got another top 5 nba player at his side

why are we still comparing this bum to kobe

Pau Gasol is a top 5 NBA player. Arguably the best power forward in the game right now.

He was the focal point of his offense in Memphis. He led them to the playoffs, which they havent been back since.

During the NBA Finals in 2007, Kobe Bryant admitted he couldnt win without "more help". He demanded a trade from the Los Angeles Lakers publicly. Why do yall compare that bum to Jordan?

i personally don't agree with his decision to join the heat but i'm not mad at him for it

me, being from ohio would have liked to have seen him stay in cleveland (im not a cavs fan)

it's so funny seeing friends bitching about him on facebook/twitter about him not being loyal

it's a competitve sport..just being loyal isn't gonna get you championships

cavs have a crap team, i don't blame him

lol "uh, he's a top 5 player for sure, but idk if he's the greatest at his own position"

He was the focal point of his offense in Memphis. He led them to the playoffs, which they havent been back since.

yea, and he did that by scoring in the paint closer to the basket, not jump shooting and tossing 3 pointers like somebody already fuging does in los angeles. Wade and Lebron's games is more similar than Bryant and Gasol's games, and whatever strategy they conjure up over there, both players' production will likely suffer, and they likely won't be better off, and James will probably play 2nd in command to D-Wade, and that's a great case made for being better than Bryant if you're not even the lead go-to-guy or the closer (not that lebron was the greatest closer anyway)

During the NBA Finals in 2007, Kobe Bryant admitted he couldnt win without "more help". He demanded a trade from the Los Angeles Lakers publicly.

and at the end of the day, he stayed where he was, and when he did ask for help, he wanted solid complementary players, he wasn't joining teams because "dey haz D-WADEZ and KRIS BOSHZ and EVREYBODIEZZ!!!!".

Why do yall compare that bum to Jordan?

when did i

ESPN whored itself to new heights with the LeBron James "The Mistake" special. I can hardly wait to see how they top last night's debacle when Brett Favre watch starts again...

On the opposite side, James image is going to take some serious hits regardless how much money he gives to the Boys and Girls Club....
