People keep thinking from the pic that it had to have been a huge shark when in fact it is my belief that it was relatively the same size as the one bit

I disagree. Look at the second picture. The section that has been taken out of it's abdomen is bigger than the shark's head. No offense, but I'll leave this to the experts who saw the shark in person.
