Delhomme averaged 7.9ypa this season.
Brees averaged 8.0ypa this season.
So if Delhomme threw the ball as much as Drew Brees did he could of come close to Marinos record also.
Just thought this was interesting.

But to answer the question is naw. Thats not how we are built and operate. Jake wouldnt want the #'s anyways.

I wasn't trying to say it as something I would want Delhomme to do.
It was more to point out Brees isnt as great as some people think he is.

You are wrong Brees is. If Jake tried to throw that much he would get intercepted alot more.

Brees is a better pure passer than Delhomme is. Delhomme wouldn't ever sniff 5000 yards, even if we threw the ball as much as the Saints do. Let's not get carried away. Delhomme is perfect for a run first offense where he can take advantage of the play action pass. I don't think he'd do very well in a pass happy offense like New Orleans.
