When the day breaks I got a bad feeling it's not gonna look good. In a crazy way, the lack of huge buildings and infrastructure might work to thier advantage. I'm looking for any kind of silver lining.

The Red Cross directed $200,000 to immediate assistance, and the Inter-American Development Bank, a Washington-based agency that focuses on Latin America and the Caribbean, said it also would provide $200,000 in immediate aid for food, water, medicine and temporary shelter.

Sheesh

My dad called tonight wanting to know how far St. Maarten was from Haiti. I was just in St. Maarten the week after Christmas. I got an email from there saying all was well.

I also heard that the Dominican Republic was fine.
