Well when Ryan and Flacco hit the inevitable rookie playoff wall, we'll see just how much those writers know. # 11 for Jake. I just can't get over that. Astounding...

Are the rankings based on stats, or on subjective analysis? If they are based on actual stats, then its easy to see why our QB and receiver rankings would be relatively low. We don't throw the ball a lot.

Our pass defense is actually pretty good statistically, but we have been run on a lot. Our fans keep harping on pass defense, but its our run defense that worries me. We really haven't stopped a decent running team in a while, and most of the teams we will be playing have run dominated offenses.

LOL....so the Chargers and Steelers have a better WR corps than we do? Im not even going to comment on the QB thing, that is just absurd. Also, we should have the #1 rated RB's.

Thank you joemac.

Steve Smith >>>>> Hines Ward >> Vincent Jackson

Moose >> Malcolm Floyd, Limas Sweed, Chris Chambers, Santonio Holmes...

How this math works is beyond me.

And I'd like to go on the record as saying I can't shake this feeling that Jarrett is going to show up in a BIG way this postseason. I don't know why cuz I've never really even much cared for the kid, but I just can't shake the feeling.

You heard it here first.

...FaQ ESPN (extra special penis network)...I dont care what they have to say since my TV hasn't been on that station since 1999 when Prince was the sh!t...I like our players and our intagibles and if Fox would get the h3ll out of the way we'd run away with the Bowl...

They probably had to give us overly low rankings in certain categories so that we wouldn't add up to the highest amount, b/c we should, and we all know ESPN would never put us #1...

I have a feeling they are talking about a WR core, not singular players. And yes, I would take SD's core over ours, but not any player overf SS.

Jackson, Chambers, Davis, Floyd, Nannee. There is some depth there.

vs. SS, Hack, Jarrett, Moose.

With the lousy performances Jake had in the middle of the season and the fantastic display of RB play from Dewill and even Stewart it's easy to downgrade Jake to 11. Flacco who has led a team that is usually offensive deficient as a rookie is easily seen as more valuable to most. Collins has had a great year and even though he to works with a great RB tandem, he was forced to win with his arm and prevailed when the Titan run was schemed against and taken away. Chad Pennington has shined all year despite working in an offensively handicapped roster under new..everything.

11 is not that bad. I know you guys do not expect Jake to crack the top ten with plays to Smitty like the one that set up JA KaY last Sunday. Those throws rarely win you many points with these guys.

He did play some great games this season but as is the norm with Jake, there were som real stinkers to accompany them and the winners had some pretty questionable heaves that just plain worked out largely due to one Steve Smith.

I know you guys don't like hearing that but c'mon, take the BDJS blinders off and be happy about Jake being at 11 after a major surgery and a missed season. It's really not that bad.

I'm ecstatic over it!

That's the point I was trying to make fuzz. Steve Smith is so far superior to every other wideout on San Diego and Pittsburgh that the decent to mediocre talent behind him on the depth chart is offset by him alone, making our WR core better than those. Am I gonna say better than Indy or Arizona? Certainly not. But SD, give me a break...
