It makes sense, he'll get a franchise qb in Cuntler, General Manager and Coaching duties and possibly 8-10 mil a year... everything he really wants... see here...

Mort said on Mike and Mike that he didn't think Bowlen wanted another coach/gm combo and that he didn't want to break the bank. Plus I think Cowher wants to stay on the east coast.

I don't think that any coach needs to be the main personnel guy, just too much on the plate there.

Peter King has been saying on Sirius NFL channel that Cowher is not going to coach anywhere next year, unless he gets a once-in-a-lifetime type of offer.
He supposedly made a promise to his family that he would not go back to coaching until his youngest daughter graduates high school, which she is a senior now.

maybe he's hoping Fox will resign or get fired next year so he can coach here still..not that i want that to happen..
