He's a close second...

When it comes to heart/fire/passion for the game, I don't think anyone comes close...

Jack Youngblood played an NFC Championship AND a Super Bowl on a broken leg.

Bo in his prime >>> Walter. I know, I know he couldn't sustain it. But Bo was the baddest dude ever.

Sammy Baugh- played quarterback, punter, and defensive back.

http://en.wikipedia....iki/Sammy_Baugh

In 1943 he led the league in passing, punting, and interceptions. Talk about a triple crown.

I could care less what someone did in 1943. The game/athletes where nothing compared to today's.

That is where you are wrong. He played at a time where the rules did not favor the quarterback and the offense. Even the ball was much rounder and harder to throw. He put up 300 yard passing games in an era where few others did. He had a completion rate of 70% one season which stood until Anderson broke it a few years ago. He was without a doubt the best player of his era and frankly could hold his own today. He played every down every game. Without a doubt the best player ever. Some players wouldn't compare from one era to another but Baugh would.
