Panthers Must DO's To Rebuild!

16 posts in this topic

1st: Cut QB Jake Del-oops. Thanks to the CBA in limbo Carolina is able to take a mulligan on the bad contract they inked w/ Jake and not suffer the financial consequences they would've any other yr w/ a cap in place.

2nd: If u own the rights to DE Peppers trade the guy for picks, if not let the man go it's not worth the headache any more.

Lastly seeing as how this is a perfect year to start a rebuilding fase if need be. If not the draft is deep in OL & DL talent that if u can shore up those 2 lines then you could be very strong.

Carolina already has the stable of RB's, only needs to add a complimentary WR, and possibly draft Smiths future replacement to groom behind him, add a pass catching TE via FA (which there are plenty coming available), and bring in a talented Vet QB (Also plenty could be had) Chad Pennington anyone to hold down the forth while you wait for 2011 to draft your next franchise signall caller, or perhaps u can grad one late in the draft

As far as dropping Jake, as the owner of our company frequently says when we get a little frivolous or risky with the company finances, "You guys gotta remember, we're not playing with Monopoly money here."

This team doesn't need to 'rebuild' we've got some damn good talent. If we start Moore and get another good WR look for us to make some major noise!

They are not going to cut Delhomme. Like it or not, they owe him too much money just to let him walk. He can impart a lot of knowledge into the qbs and will be the back up.

We are set at TE. We have three on the roster and they can all catch the ball fine. Since Fox has been here we just dont throw to the TE very much. In eight years that hasnt changed. Do you really think its going to now?

we need a capable qb (hopefully it is moore), or at least draft a qb as an insurance policy. get a compliment wr and we are back in the hunt. I dont think that would be considered rebuilding.

We need to get the best available receiver in the draft. After that all we need to do is resolve the Peppers situation and make sure the DL is ready to go. Other than that we should be ready to make a possible Superbowl run.

The OP rebuilds his house each time the floor gets dirty.
