well a big counter to that is SF will have several o-linemen to choose from with the 13th overall pick, all of which are younger with more upside.

we'd be VERY VERY VERY lucky to get a 2nd rounder for him, and I honestly don't even see that possible unless we're talking about Al Davis or some other incompetent teams front office. I like our o-line depth, and you don't know if one of our linemen will go down again, always nice to have a safety net.

Hey, it's the offseason, this is a mock, I'm just trying to have a little optomistic fun!

I'm curious as to what others would think about trading Jeff King or Thomas Davis. And I think Wharton was at least 3rd round value but could be more than that. Starting LTs with 7 years of experience and are under 30 do not come along that often. NFL trades are a funny thing when they involve players. You just never know what teams are going to give up until to ask. None of us are in a position to ask so we all are really just guessing.

Good god I can't believe that someone actually wants to debate that Wharton is worth a 1st round pick.

Good god I can't believe someone is taking a mock draft so seriously!

But if you really want to get into a pissing match, Wharton played tackle in college and for 4 years with the Panthers. When the Panthers signed him to a new deal he was still playing tackle and paid him tackle money. And why was Hutchingson regarded as one of the best in the game? Because the team he played on and currently plays on had/has one of the best running games in the league. So do the Panthers.

Do I think Wharton could be traded for a 1st round pick? fug, if I know. But neither do you.

Keep Wesley. And Moose. And cutting Kemo may not be the brightest idea. We'd end up with no D-Line what so ever.

Durrr well since it's just a mock... after we trade Wharton for a 1st, let's also trade a 2035 7th rounder to the Texans for Andre Johnson OMG OMG OMG

I thought Breaston was a RFA? The Panthers would have to give up at least a 1st round pick for him I would think. I don't see the Cards letting him walk without slapping at least the 1st round tender on him.
