You sure it isnt not due to the fact there might be a lockout in 2011?

Your alternate reasoning is blasphemy!

I agree this is horrible speculation. However...it does make me think of who is the heir apparent now the sons are out of the "family business" and Jerry ain't getting any younger...not to mention the recent heart transplant.

Does anyone know the answer in case, Lord forbid, an "emergency" situation would arise?

The sons are still part of the membership group. I remember reading it in many articles when it happened. Here is just one.

I don't think its all that far fetched. Selling the team is unlikely although possible. That does not mean the team would be moved though. Most teams who change owners stay put.

Exactly. I didn't say the team was going anywhere, but these are pretty good signs the Owner may be prepping for a sale.

JR deserves do see his team win the SB at least once before he kicks the bucket. This team needs something to fight for. We should find some kid with cancer and get them to tell Grant a Wish that he wants the Panthers to win a Super Bowl for his wish.

Not really, as that is extremely fuged up. But what if? What if they suddenly had something to fight for? They've got more than enough talent to win a SB, but if they also had something to push that extra 10% more for, maybe they could finally get over the hump and win us one.

Just something to think about.

To win a SB we need to; re-sign TD and Pep, lock up any other players who need a contract extension, let there be a fair QB starting spot competition during TC, Sign a #2 WR, umm lets see, what else?.....

Nah I hear ya man, I would love to see us win a Super Bowl!

I wouldn't let it happen. For the sake of Panther fans everywhere... by god I would stop it.

To a consortium led by Ric Flair, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Michael Jordan.

And Felix. Always Felix.

Sons are gone, Not extending coaches contracts, not tagging or extending anymore big contracts this offseason.... sure looks like a sale prep to me.

Weak sauce evidence.

Why would Richardson, at this point in his life, be more concerned about money, than the franchise that he fought to bring in to the NFL that he respects more than most fans.

Exactly....I could see Dan Snyder...owner of the Redskins...or that dickhead that owns that Dallas NBA team...wanting to sell to the 'highest bidder' because they still have youth....but JR has fought his entire adult life for his dream of owning an NFL team....just doesn't make any sense.
