I mean, I agree that our interventionist attitude is stupid as poo, but Ron Paul is a lunatic.

ron paul is a lunatic???? really?? i'd love to hear how you had drawn that conclusion.

too bad he's about the only trustworthy politician around these days; not to mention he's about the only politician who actually represents the people, and stands for the founding principles in which our republic was founded.

He wants to get rid of income tax.

He wants gold and silver to be used as legal tender.

He wants the US to leave the United Nations.

the income tax is unconstitutional, so i agree agree with Paul on that point. if you choose to pay your patriotic taxes be my guest, ya sheep. ever since the establishment of the federal reserve, this nation had lost it's intended republic state, thus turning us into a quasi-socialist country. one of the main communist/socialist principles was the establishment of a centralized bank. the income taxes we pay go towards the interest our government owes to the federal reserve on allowing us to borrow their money.

the gold standard was good because it made sure that our mark was actually worth something. since the gold standard was dropped by the globalist nixon, the fed has run wild printing conterfiet marks out of thin air, thus reducing the value of our dollar. our dollar these days is worth 4% what it was back in 1912.

the united nations is an elite corrupt globalist establishment seeking to destroy US sovereignty, with the ultimate goal of global governance. the UN was first established by rockerfeller and co., originally called the league of nations after WWII. those of you who know about rockerfeller know how dangerous he is, and what their ultimate goals are. on a side note, obama had recently commited treason, due to the fact that he heads up the united nations security council.

1. You like income tax?!?! ...oh wait, you work for the IRS. If you didn't work there and still thought income taxes are good then YOU are the lunatic.

2. Gold would be the currency backing just like it used to be, and it worked just fine.

3. You need to learn more about the UN. It is not a good entity, organization, whatever you wanna call it. Why is it so important to you?

Article One, Section 8 of the US Constitution:
"The Congress shall have power To lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defence and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;"

It is in the Constitution. How is it unconstitutional?

Maybe we can just go back to bartering.

Oh Jesus here we go with the New World Order crap. Isolating ourselves from the world wouldn't be the best way to go about repairing our economy. But you care more about avoiding a world government than actually solving problems.

I believe the story is that it was never ratified and thus illegally enacted but I'm not so up on it.

Going back to the gold standard would be like reverting back to a cash only society. Complete overkill and silly.

Even if I didn't work for the IRS, I wouldn't want the government to just do away with income tax. You're a lunatic if you think a country can function without an income tax.

2. Gold would be the currency backing just like it used to be, and it worked just fine.

This will never happen, and making the transition would be ridiculously difficult.

3. You need to learn more about the UN. It is not a good entity, organization, whatever you wanna call it. Why is it so important to you?

You need to learn not to believe literally every conspiracy theory you read.

They argue about the 16th amendment not being properly ratified. It was ratified on 2/3/1913.

Challenging the 16th amendment is frivolous.
