Its funny as hell to me. People are talking about being "classless", "immature", and "being respectful", but a good portion of them where bashing Peppers just last week for wanting to leave.
Anyways, Jake seems like a good man. I respect him, and thank him for some great memories, but it's been time to move on. These young guys(plus Smitty and Kasay) can maybe finally get us that superbowl win.

That's what I'm saying. It's not like people are telling Delhomme to kill himself or w/e.

THIS IS IT- NOW its time for Fox and Hurney to go....

fvck it-- its time to start over and rebuild....

I know right? Getting rid of a washed up QB who can't cut it anymore is obviously a white flag to rebuild....one of the youngest teams in the league.

Now bare with me for a sec. What if the Panthers got rid of Delhomme for Julius Peppers to come back? Just a thought.

Or even better, maybe they will make a huge splash somehow in free agency or move up in the draft for a QB! Either way they still owe Jake all that money and Im sure they didnt just let him go for 12 mill.

Something is going on! Maybe they get YOU KNOW WHO to come and be a QB here. LOL.

End of Line.

they're just ready to move ahead. makes me happy.

so long jake. thanks for being so cool and for those first few years. it was fun.

now i am done with jake. don't care anymore. what matters now is just moving forward.

those of you that want to keep on honoring the past....have fun dwelling in it.

for the rest of us that are more than happy that this team is finally cutting loose those things and players that were keeping them from reaching their potential (and yes, pep is included in that) are now in the past. it's time for a new panthers. our next coach is going to have a nice young group of talented players to build around.

having the old guard gone is something to celebrate. spring is quickly approaching. i can't wait.

Aaaaaaaaaahhhhh...no.

There's no savings from cutting him (and no cap anyway) so it doesn't help keep Peppers. That, plus he'll likely be signed by the Bears by this afternoon.

As to "you know who", Jay Glazer is one of many sources to say "not happnin"

For the record I really do NOT see the panthers pursuing vick at all. Delhomme's release not related to anything w vic

Adam Schefter said the same thing, as have the local beat writers (repeatedly).

Since they've cut Jake, you know what this means....

The Patriots have traded the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL draft to the Carolina Panthers for the 47th pick in the 2010 draft and Carolina's first round pick in 2011.

With the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers select...

And the city of Charlotte spontaneously bursts into flames...
