Eh I would rather have a QB who can make accurate passes, has proper mechanics, a good to great arm and good pocket awareness.....call me old fashioned I guess.....

Alright, this is about the 100th post I've seen saying something about wanting a "good QB" (in essence) in regards to Delhomme. It's getting a little stale...

You can't deny there is generally a correlation. There are a ton of people who identify themselves under a religon but don't really practice it. Those who actually practice their religon are generally good folk. Most people I know who will pray before a meal even if it's at wendy's are pretty good people.

Maybe they are actually praying that the food isn't contaminated and that no one spit on it?

Some things The Golden Calf of Bristol is going to have to prove to get my vote. Not that I have one. :P

1. prove his throwing motion has changed. Which is easier said than done.
2. Prove he can be an accurate passer. (Doing step one and two is gonna be extremely tough)
3. Prove he can take the snap from under center consistently without fumbling the ball. (I don't care how good of a leader is, if he cannot hold onto the ball he won't give us the opportunity to win)
4. Prove he can make all the throws with some zip..

IF, BIG IF, He could do those things I would be all for it. I think his leadership and intangibles are very tempting.

I would say nothing before the 3rd round. Maybe we will get a compensatory pick for Peppers in round 3. I would use it on The Golden Calf of Bristol if he was available. Providing he proves he has changed enough to show he can develop into an NFL QB.

Otherwise he will be nothing more to us then Chris Leak was to us.

(Yes I know he didn't play for us. My point exactly.)

Go Panthers

Yeah, that's exactly what I was takling about; people keep posting that they want a QB better than Jake with X attributes (and the attributes are always the same - you know, being able to move in the pocket, throw) and it's getting stale. It wasn't directed at you, you just happen to be the 100th (OK, more like 10th or something) person to have said it.

It has nothing to do with Jake, it has everything to do with The Golden Calf of Bristol. I don't want The Golden Calf of Bristol to get near Charlotte because he is intangibles and nothing else. I want a Peyton Manning, Tom, Brady, Carson Palmer, Matt Schaub, Aaron Rogers type QB for the Panthers. I don't necessarily think all those guys have the "intangibles" but can anyone on this board disagree that we would have been a playoff team with a QB with a skillset like those guys. Maybe Moore is that guy (he looks like he could be from the relatively small sample we have seen) but thats the kind of QB that can get us to the promised land.
