Panthers free agent DE Tyler Brayton’s visiting the Seattle Seahawks this weekend, but the Panthers aren’t sitting idly by.
League sources said the Panthers have had conversations about New York Jets DE Marques Douglas, though no visit has been set up.
The soon-to-be 33 Douglas (a native of Greensboro), has played nine years in the league. He broke into the league with Baltimore as an undrafted free agent from Howard, and has also played for San Francisco and New Orleans
At 6-2, 290 pounds, he’s more of a fit as an end in a 3-4, but he could help provide some of the run-stopping ballast the Panthers would be losing if Brayton walked.

Older guys are more likely to sign a one year deal and I think that is what the FO wants to get to fill in some holes.
