I love Hoover because he's a NC guy who made it on his own without being drafted, but the Panthers did just draft a pretty good FB last year, so I'm not at all shocked by this. I will definitely miss Hoover, but nothing lasts forever.

The extension he signed two years ago was right at the league minimum. I remember because he held out from signing it for a while. In the end he decided free agency wasn't worth it but he and his agent were not really happy with the figures.

No way Hurney can use the cost cutting excuse for this one and the media needs to call him out on it if he does.
