Which Language Would You Like To Learn?

I am currently studying Polish. I understand that this is not exactly a usual choice for a language to study. After all, not many people travel to Poland for liesure, and it's not a huge business hub. Mainly I am doing it to rediscover my heritage. But Poland is projected by some analysts to be one of the new world powers by 2025, so who knows? Maybe being the only Polack in the office will pay dividends.

What language would you like to study, and why?

No new language for me. However I have always loved the accent of the High Tiders (hoi toiders) from the outerbanks. Would love to talk that way.

I would love to learn Latin. Yes, it's a dead language, but English and the Romance languages share so much with Latin that by learning it, you make it that much easier to learn subsequent languages (or better your English vocabulary).

Unfortunately, I think that after about 10 your accent is more-or-less permanent.

Spent 4 years learning Spanish, but in college now am either going to major or minor in German, only in my 2nd class so far. I do plan on finishing up in Spanish as well. I plan on making a topic here when I study abroad in Germany/Austria. Wouldn't mind learning another as well though, I find languages very interesting

i'm pretty advanced in german right now, but i'd like to pick up french and vietnamese by the time i'm 30... at least an intermediate understanding of each. i've got thai and russian on my list as well, but those will be a little more difficult since i'll have to learn sanskrit and cyrillic alphabets.

I can speak fluent Spanish from classes and traveling there. I tried to teach myself Arabic but it was too fuckin hard because their alphabet is ridiculous, so I've decided I want to start learning German instead.

I kinda like what Bobby said and I get exactly what he means.
Maybe Dutch or Swedish.
I have Spanish, some Italian and German under my belt. Working on Greek now to try and keep up with my kids.

I only get to pick one?

:(

On a serious note, I'd love to learn the Pacific languages. Get as far away from the latin disambiguations as possible.
