Delhomme says he wasn't ready to hold a clipboard

When he's ready to hold a clipboard, I wouldn't mind seeing him back. Don't know about any coaching ability he may have, but he does have excellent leadership skills.

He's a good guy but he hasn't proved his poor QB play is just a fluke. Cleveland is taking a big chance.

I mean really that statement was bullsh*t. Him saying that means he thinks he wasn't the main problem. Instead of making a disguised good guy comment "I could blame this or that, but Im not", he could say "I CAN'T blame anyone else but myself". Oh well, have fun looking like a joke of a QB again in Cleveland Jake.

Going to Cleveland means he's not ready to hold the Lombardi trophy either.

And this is most likely why the FO let him go. I'm not bashing him, and he said he was ok with being the backup, but what starting QB in the NFL will ever be happy holding a clipboard? They knew he was too much of a competitor to just accept Moore being the #1, so they avoid any controversy by releasing him.

Smart move by Hurney and company, imo.
