he's just surfing the negative waves. lol.

I am probably creating some at this point but it is March. I am sure after going to camp and seeing what we have I will likely be more optimistic down the road. We will see..................................

leave p55 alone  :crying:

Appreciate the support, but I am a big boy. I don't worry about what others say. Some less than others.:D

PS. And yes I know you were being sarcastic.

It isn't close to the same team. Even with Brayton back and calling Moore a starter since he started 5 games, we still have 7 starters from last year not on this squad. That is 1/3 of the starting team. And for the most part the current replacements were not as productive as the starters. So to say we are the same or better is a gross overstatement.

How many impact players have left?

Other than Peppers, no one is an all-pro or irreplaceable. The issue isn't evaluating one player and determining his value but the total when everyone is considered together from several different aspects including playing ability, leadership on the field, veteran presence in the locker room, knowledge passed on to younger players, etc.

Football isn't an individual sport so loking at a player in isolation and saying he wasn't great is very misleading. For example some of the best attrubutes of a guy like Diggs or Moose or Hoover isn't what great numbers they put up but how they fit in the scheme, did the dirty work, make others better, mentored other guys and provided a locker room presence that will be sorely missed. It isn't that one player alone will make all the diference simply that the combined effect of all the guys we lost has yet to be made up by a long shot. Good Teams are like a Gestault- the totally combination is often greater than simply the sum of the parts.

But I won't go further as we have beat this one up to death it seems.

Nope, I just thought it was a funny image.

Also, I'm trying to decide whether or not you bluffed. I'm starting to think you are the Pepper to Salt over there.
