You brought up stats. Need I remind you?

How many all-time greats have had "f**k it" years? Has Allen had a "f**k it" year? You can't depend on Peppers from play-to-play, game-to-game or even season-to-season. But keep running your head into that brick wall.

Yes. As well as 3 DUI's.

Most DE's take off plays. Get over your school girl hatred of Peppers.

Was he Reggie White? No. Has anyone other than Reggie White been Reggie White? No.

He was a very, very good DE and hands down the best defensive player we've ever had.

DUI's have what to do with football?

and hands down the best defensive player we've ever had? Jon Beason might have something to say about that.

this is coming from someone who doesn't really care about Peppers so there is no hate towards him. I would however take Jon Beason over Peppers any day of the week.

Beason's still not had a year like Pep's 2004. JP almost singlehandedly got us in the playoffs that year.

How could Beason do that? He barely ever blitz's and he gets 3/4 INT a year.

You can't just look at sacks because I don't think Pepper's comes close, you have to look at where Pep gets his sacks. For instance two years ago he had like 14 or 15 sacks, yet 5 or so came from the 0-16 Lions and another 4 or so from the 2-14 Buccs. He had more than half his sacks for the whole season in those two single games vs. horrible teams. Stats don't mean poo, they are just guide to good players but if you dig deeper you'll find who is really great.

If you guys can say JP single handily won games for the Panthers, is it fair to say he single handily lost games for the Panthers?

I feel Pep on being an isolated/introverted/private type of guy... I'm that way myself. I have no problem getting along with everyone, I just don't prefer having many people in my inner circle.

That being said, I'm not following him in this "bash Charlotte and the Panthers" fest... I'd get pissed off if there were people posted up outside my house, but I'd let them know about it. I've dealt with it before, probably not to the degree he did, but still. Also, being introverted or isolated doesn't mean you aren't able to speak, generally you don't prefer to. That's my approach. Just because I don't go out of my way to greet someone unless they do so first doesn't mean I can't speak when called upon (in class for instance). I've performed athletically in front of crowds and had to give speeches or do presentations in class, as many of you have... So, that was no excuse as to why he didn't speak more when he was here.

I stay to myself often b/c I don't want people in my business, so I get that, but going to a bigger market claiming it makes you invisible while babbling to whoever will listen and buying entire clubs bottles of champagne and going out nightly negates that. It actually is going to make him even more visible than he was here. So let him have at it.

What doesn't make sense to me is that it appears he went out of his way to not speak with media when he was here and make himself seen, but in a matter of a month there he's done more interviews than he did here in 8 years. To me, this suggests it was a matter of choice rather than habit... Much like how he chose when to and when not to play.

Say what you will Pep, but you can't change the fact that NC is your home, no matter how much you hate it. I too am considering a move out of state to a larger city, but I don't plan on sh*tting on NC once I'm gone... (just a few cities, lol)

He's really looking like a lame for this.

I guess we can confirm the biggest issue Peppers had... being THE GUY. I guess it's true he just wants to fall into the background and not be put in a leadership role.

The first offensive play we run against the bears next season needs to be Otah Pancake 90 on 1.
