Dissent was not patriotic when Bush was president.
A lot of people said it was.
I don't think sympathizing with someone who attacked us is patriotic, but we saw a lot of that from the left early on. Call it dissent or whatever. Many people said we deserved 9/11. Of course they'll deny that now.

Almost no one was saying we deserved 9/11. Plenty were saying 9/11 was a natural consequence of our overseas actions.
I doubt you'll see the difference.

What Bush haters were dubbed un American? Didn't Michael Moore win an Oscar for Far 9/11? Boy he was really censored.
If the media gave these labels I don't really care. If it was the WH then you have cause for concern.

Does O'Reilly make public policy or signs your paycheck? If not get over it.
People can hate/disagree all they want. It's called a free country for a reason.
The very fact that Moore won shows the ability to speak freely without fear of repercussions.
Was Moore blacklisted from any studios? Was he unable to get any funding for future projects?
