Contract Extentions?

Anyone surprised that no one on the Panthers got contract extensions during the bye week? Should this team go to the super bowl, Hurney will only have 27 days to work out any contracts before free agency starts up on March 1st. This seems like a very tight schedule when having to manage the Peppers and Gross situations. I didn't expect any thing from these two this past week but there is a list of guys who need to be re-signed that could have allowed Hurney more time to focus on the big two. Not to mention maybe extensions and contract restructuring for players not up for free agency to help provide more cap space. Oh, well.

seems like since we franchised gross last year we cant negotiate a deal until after the season is over...Peppers, according to local reporters over the past few months wants to talk after the season as well. we already locked up gamble and kasay...who else deserves it at this point?

The season is over, its the postseason now. We can now negotiate with gross.

At least thats what I read on this forum last week.
